Text to speech in opennmt-tf

Hello,

I’m curious, i noticed, according the opennmt main webpage, that we are abel to use openmt-tf to do speech to text but seems like we can’t do the other way around?

If that’s so. What is the reason?

Hi,

This is just something we did not explore or even consider for OpenNMT-tf.

In general, speech support in OpenNMT-tf is quite basic. The implemented speech to text model is based on an old paper and is mainly used as an example to demonstrate the modularity of the project.

There are other projects out there with full speech support. They should be used instead.
